Featured in the current National Girls Ministries Leaders Connection online newsletter, under the Teen Girl Ministries section are two articles about 1) the importance of developing your vision, and 2) how to practically go from having a vision to creating a great resource group or event for teen girls. The author, Misty Price, has created a sexual purity ministry within her church that has received recognition within her community. She tells how she went from seeing a need, to having a vision, to creating a ministry.

Leaders Connection is produced bimonthly and features a Teen Girl Ministries section with articles discussing aspects of ministering to teen girls. To sign up for Leaders Connection E-Newsletters to be sent to your e-mail inbox sign up here.

After God opened many doors, I went on a youth mission trip with 14 teens and my eyes were opened! I was honestly afraid of teens in the past but God knew what was best for me and those kids and let me tell you, it changed my LIFE!! I came to love each one of them and learned that I too, can make a difference. God spoke to me on that trip….start a teen girl’s group. Was He kidding me?? I would have NEVER thought in a million years that I would end up leading a teen ministry!!! With His guidance, We have two meetings under our belt and we’re booked for the Revolve Tour next month!! Right now, I’m in need of some subject ideas and projects for these girls. Any bit will help! They are SO excited about this group that when the option to meet, they voted to meet weekly instead of every other week. With that happening, I really need to keep their interest peaked. PLEASE help!!
    Many Blessings,
    Tammy

I really would like to get something going for the teen girls @ my Church also. I hope you don’t mind if I also use that email address above. I have been praying for some time that God would show me what he wanted me to do in my life and it has been shown through the teen girls who have told me that that really appriciate me and the advice that I have given them. I relate so well to the girls I know now that there is a purpose for this and I want to take it further than the occastional chats that I have with them. I feel like God is telling me to step up and use my life expieriance and his word to guide these precious girls. I am 26 and single so I have no reason not to. So I am really glad to have run accross this site and any guidance is great!

I too have been placed with a vision to work with teen girls on purity. I have already began to take the girls of the youth group through a bible study on dating. I was wondering if you had any ideas to make this a huge ministry in my comminity and to keep the girls interest.
